Joe Olson has a masters degree in fine art and taught art for years at university level. He discovered knife making about 15 years ago and has been one of the genuine innovators of new designs and the combining of unconventional materials. His forged mosaic work and intricate damascus has raised the bar for art damascus. Herein his damascus blade leaps out at you. The titanium bolster works as a windowpane, repeating his blade damascus through the pane and at the rear bolster area. The bolsters are engine turned.
